Master of Divinity

An InMinistry* program of Bethel Seminary

Bethel Seminary's InMinistry (hybrid online) Master of Divinity program lets you complete your training for ministry while continuing in ministry. You won’t need to move to Bethel to complete your degree, because the program is designed for ministry professionals and ministry-active lay leaders. With the combination of fully distance courses and those requiring on-campus intensives, you can take seven courses a year and complete the M.Div. in approximately five years.

Designed to prepare persons for such professional ministry positions as pastors, missionaries, chaplains, denominational ministers, and parachurch leaders, the M.Div. degree program guides students in a process of growth through biblical and theological studies, skill courses and experiences, self-assessment measures, counseling, and community life that leads to self-understanding and spiritual maturity.

*InMinistry is the nation's leading accredited seminary distance learning program. Bethel brings seminary to you rather than requiring you to move to seminary. A model for other distance education and online courses at seminaries across the country, InMinistry employs a hybrid of online course work and two-week, on-campus intensives, held in St. Paul, MN.

Students and graduates say:
“InMinistry faculty are very intentional about developing my Christian faith and making it relevant to the real world. It’s not just a head experience; it’s a heart experience.”

“The most exciting thing about Bethel’s InMinistry program for me is the immediate application. I am immediately able to take what I’m learning in my course work back to my ministry and put it into practice.”

“If you feel God has led you to remain in your current ministry and pursue a seminary education, this is the program to attend. Bethel is not just going to fill you with knowledge, but will nourish your spirit so you can be a leader for Jesus Christ.”
